Can you say, "Sleep Apnea?"

Looks like I have to - I had a sleep study done last night (how they expect you to sleep when they wire you up like a Christmas tree is a mystery, but anyway...) and it showed that I do stop breathing sometimes - at one point my O2 levels dropped to around 85%, a significant number.
So now the question is what to do. There is a machine that you can use at night, but I want to avoid that. Losing weight will help, but there is also a surgical procedure that can replace the machine. I am looking into that. Will keep you posted.

Or you could get a beagle mix that reacts to any change in your breathing patterns as a sign you want her to jump on your bed, lick your hand all over and whine until you wake up. More fun that surgery. :)

Heh Brenda - your beagle doing that for you?

Piper, I didn't know that! So what color goop do you put in people's hair to attach the leads?? :-)

Molly starts between 3 and 4 every morning. Every move I make, every sound, she takes in anticipating its time to get up and go out. LOL Seriously I hope they have a solution other than surgery.

Given that the choices may be surgery or a c-pap machine (which means I have to wear a mask over my face when I sleep) I think in this case I prefer surgery.
